City tour through the historic Berlin
The walk from the Nikolai-Quarter to the Brandenburg Gate gives you an overall view of 800 years history of the city. From the beginnings in the Middle Ages we go on to the height of Berlin as a residence town of the Brandenburg prince electors and later kings of Prussia, without skipping the development of the capital of the German Reich and the recent history. The avenue “Unter den Linden” and the Gendarmenmarkt with buildings from the time of Frederick the Great and Schinkel form architectonical highlights.
Walking tour Berlin Wall
2009 has saw the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. By now, the city has grown together and most remnants of the partition have quickly been removed. But in some places one still can experience in what relentless way Berlin was parted for 28 years. Especially the area around the Bernauer Street gives you an impressive insight: a former “Ghost Station”, a partly cleared graveyard, the rests of a blown up church in the former death strip as well as a reconstructed part of the wall demonstrate the brutality of the boarder installations.
Guided tour of the Olympic Stadium Berlin
Many visitors associate the Olympic Stadium above all with the final of the DFB-cup, the Football World Championship 2006, the football club Hertha BSC, ISTAF and rock concerts of the most famous. But due to the intense connection between sport, history and architecture, the stadium has also become one of the most important Berlin attractions since its refurbishment between 2000 and 2004. You are invited to get to know not only the long history of the stadium, but also its hidden interior.
