"Germania" - Berlin during National Socialism
The megalomania of the National Socialists showed exemplary in the planning to rebuild Berlin into the “World Capital Germania”. Albert Speer, the “architect of the Führer” planned the layout of an enormous axis of coordinates to reform the metropolis. Regardless of grown neighbourhoods, a new axis was to be pressed through the town, lined by giant government buildings like the “Big Hall” with the capacity of holding up to 180.000 people. We will follow the traces of this plan remaining only as a fragment on this city tour.
